LINK-UP PROGRAM

The Link-up Program is funded by the Office of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH)  under the Commonwealth Government’s response to the recommendations contained in the “Bringing Them Home” Report.

This program continues to assist those members of the “Stolen Generations” who have been separated from their families as a result of the past laws, policies and practices of governments.KARU does this by providing guidance and support in family history research, access to records, providing search aids, and services to assist and facilitate family tracing and family reunions.

KARU also assists the descendants of those removed under the past laws and policies to trace their families and come to terms with the legacy of the past .
