Kāru is a Vedic Meditation and Yoga business based in Perth, Western Australia. This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you visit our website or make an enquiry.

When you contact us or book a service through our scheduling software (Acuity), we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and where relevant, personal details you share about your health or wellbeing. We collect this information only when you provide it to us directly.

Our website also collects standard technical data automatically — such as your IP address and pages visited — through cookies and analytics tools.

 

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

Health information

Some of the services we offer relate to meditation and yoga. You may choose to share information about your mental or physical health with us. We treat this with the highest level of care and confidentiality. It is used only to support your experience with Kāru and is never shared without your consent.

 

Payments

We don't store your payment details. Payments are processed securely through a third-party providers, Stripe and PayPal, who handle your card information directly under their own privacy and security standards.

We don't sell your information. We may share it with trusted third-party tools that help us run our business — such as our email platform and scheduling system — and only to the extent necessary. These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. Our website uses SSL encryption, and access to personal data is limited to Elliot Smith and Ella McNeill.
